My favourite female artist it's Lana del Rey. She is a
singer and songwriter from New York, United States. At the middle of 2011 she
became to win popularity on internet with her first hit, Video Games. What
captured people's attention on this song was her melancholic tone. Actually,
when I first heard it I felt the pain and suffering this girl was transmiting
through his singing.
After her first single, the singer went straight to
top, debutating numer 2 at billboard 200
with her album Born to Die, on january of 2012. From that moment til now, the
artist has released five albums, all of them had received favorable reviews
from professional critics, according to Metacritic.
She as also worked on film soundtracks of movies like The
Great Gatsby, which garnered her a Grammy nomination, and Big Eyes. For this
last film, she earned a Golden Globe nomination.
I knew her when I was just a teenager and since that I
had been following her musical and visual work. Besides of loving her music, I
also love her style and her videos. I hope to see her perform live someday!
